So if your apartment is beginning to feel a little cramped or you just need a breath of fresh air, head out to some of our favorite green spaces in the city.

One of the true gems of Brooklyn, this park has it all. Spectacular skyline views, gorgeous gardens, and that perfect riverfront breeze. Stroll the meandering paths, enjoy a midday picnic, or go for a leisurely bike ride. The park also hosts movie nights, free-kayaking days, and so much more!

Situated in the heart of Greenwich Village, Washington square park is as iconic as an NYC hotdog. With it’s beautiful Beaux-Arts arch and bubbling central fountain, this park still retains its Gilded Age charm.The constant foot-traffic and general buzzing activity makes this park excellent for people-watching. If you get a lil hungry, I highly recommend stopping by N.Y. Dosas, a long-standing Indian street-food stand serving up some tasty and reasonably priced bites.

Undeniably one of Brooklyn’s best green spaces, Prospect Park is a true gem. Babbling brooks, tree lined paths, and lush meadows can all be found in this Brooklyn oasis. It’s the kind of park that makes you forget you’re in one of most densely populated cities on Earth. With 585 acres to explore, Prospect Park is a must-visit!

A lovely neighborhood park dotted with majestic trees and bright tulips, this is the perfect place to disconnect. Sit in the shade, get your dog watch on, and live your best life. If you’re looking for a nearby place to grab brunch or an early evening cocktail, neighborhood-staple, Walter’s, is conveniently located across the street.
Sip on a cup of coffee and let your mind wander as you listen to the soothing sounds of a crashing waterfall hidden in the heart of New York City. This secret garden is the perfect place to take a breather and escape the hustle and bustle of midtown

If you really want to get away from the sound of sirens and honking horns, take the A train up to this grand park situated next to the Hudson River. With unmatched views of the Hudson and Washington Bridge, you’ll feel as if you’ve stumbled into a postcard. Not many tourists make the trek up here, so you’ll have plenty of peace and quiet to finish that book you started a year ago.

Nestled next to the Jefferson Market Library, an architectural beauty and beacon of Greenwich Village, is a charming garden complete with cobbled pathways, shady nooks, and a small koi pond. Grab a book at the library or nearby Three Lives and Company and spend the day reading in the tranquil surroundings.

Combining elements of the area’s industrial past with lush greenery, Dominio park is a perfect example of urban design ingenuity. Take in the stunning skyline views as you walk along an elevated path, join a game of beach volleyball, or just relax on the green. Hugging the banks of the Hudson, this expansive park offers an escape from the congested streets of Manhattan. Designed by Olmsted himself, this park is one of eight officially designated scenic landmarks in NYC. It’s the perfect park to take a long leisurely stroll on any of the three tiers. Why not grab a bite to eat from Ellington in the Park, a charming restaurant offering pub food and great sunset views?
