The sun is out and you’re on vacation or perhaps you’ve just passed a really important exam. You want to let everybody know how good you feel but you’re tired of sounding like a broken record and would like to use some new words to express yourself. That’s why I’ve put together a list of 5 ways to say, “I’m Happy” in English. Let’s take a look: 

1. Over the moon

If you say that you are over the moon, you mean that you are very pleased about something.

A: My daughter just got into the best school in the city. 

B: I bet you are over the moon! 

A: I’m so proud of her.

2. Ecstatic 

 Feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement.

A: They were ecstatic when she came on stage. 

B: I was too! I had never seen her perform live before. 

3. On cloud nine 

To be extremely happy and excited. 

Let’s see it in use: 

A: My daughter just had a baby. I’m on cloud nine right now.

B. You’ll make an excellent Grandmother

4. Head over heels

Madly in love.

Let’s see it in use:

A: I’m head over heels for Tom.

B: I’m so happy for you!

5. On top of the World

Extremely Happy.

A: She was on top of the world after winning her Volleyball championship.

B: I can imagine! That was an amazing game.
