About The Residence

Our residence is situated in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, the most central and vibrant neighborhood in Brooklyn. Just a 5-minute walk from the Brooklyn Promenade, students can enjoy one of the best views of the New York skyline. Additionally, they are conveniently located only 3 minutes away from the restaurant where they have breakfast and dinner every day, and just 6 minutes away from the junior meeting point, where they meet teachers and classmates every morning. It's the ideal location for Juniors & Young Adults, offering easy access to all daily activities and just one subway stop away from Manhattan!

  • Students reside in twin or triple rooms with another EO student of the same gender but different nationality, and share an en-suite bathroom. Teens and Young Adults are placed separately.

    Rooms are fully furnished with beds, desks, and closets, maximizing living space. Each room is equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a refrigerator, and a microwave. While bed linen is provided, students need to bring their own towels.

  • The residence offers various amenities, including 24-hour security, key card access to residence and rooms, recreational lounges with a pool table and movie room, vending machines, and 24-hour access to iPads in the lobby. Laundry facilities are also available for student use in the residence (approximately $5 for a wash and dry).

    EO Residence Managers stay on-site throughout the program to ensure student safety.

  • Breakfast & Dinner: Served at the Park Plaza diner located just 3 minutes’ walk from the residence. Breakfast will be served every morning from 8:00 am. Dinner will be served at 7 pm for juniors and 8 pm for young adults.

    • Sample breakfast menu: French toast with ham or bacon, pancakes, eggs & omelettes, and breakfast wrap.

    • Sample dinner menu: Chicken Parmigiana or Marsala, grilled pork chops, burritos, burgers, wraps, and salads (vegetarian options available).

    Lunch for Juniors: Packed lunches provided during the week. On Sundays, juniors dine at the Park Plaza.


    Lunch for Young Adults: Young adults on a half-board basis purchase their own lunches daily.

  • Essential items to bring for the summer camp include:

    • Sun cream

    • Comfortable walking shoes

    • Light clothing suitable for New York's summer heat

    • Jumpers for air-conditioned areas

    • Adaptors for electrical items

    • A bath towel (not provided)

    • Pocket money

    • A photocopy of the passport

    • A notebook and pen

    • Headphones for lessons

    • Pre-subscribed data plan for mobile phones

  • Junior students staying in the residence enjoy a program of evening activities giving them the opportunity to socialize with their new friends and discover New York by night too. These activities are supervised by the residence managers and include outdoors activities such as movies in the park, Times Square by night or the Brooklyn Promenade, as well as indoors activities in the residence such as games night, karaoke or movie night.

Arrival and Departure

Your program starts with arrival on the Sunday before your course begins and ends with departure on the Saturday after it concludes. Additional nights for exploration can be arranged upon arrival or departure, subject to availability and extra charges.

Residence Rules & Guidelines

Students are expected to adhere to the following guidelines during their stay:

  • Teens must return to the residence by 6 PM daily after activities.

  • Young Adults have the freedom to come and go as they please after their activities.

  • Students should feel free to communicate any questions or needs to the EO Residence Managers.

  • Embrace cultural and personal differences among peers and practice tolerance.

  • Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces, including keeping rooms tidy and bathrooms clean.

  • Smoking is prohibited within the residence.

  • Students are not permitted to invite guests to the residence.

  • Each student is responsible for their personal belongings and any damage caused to the residence.
