Our teen residence is located in Downtown Toronto, a buzzing area filled with skyscrapers, restaurants, shopping, and an eclectic mix of neighborhoods. It is also home to iconic attractions like the CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market and the Royal Ontario Museum.

About The Residence

Our residence is situated in Downtown Toronto, minutes away from the Toronto City Hall, Queens Park and the University of Toronto. Additionally, it is conveniently located close to several subway stops giving easy access to iconic locations such as the CN Tower, St Lawrence Market and the Hockey Hall of Fame. It is the ideal location to enjoy the best of Toronto!

  • Students reside in four-bedroom apartment:

    • Single size bed in each room

    • Two shared bathrooms between four rooms

    • Common area with seating

    • Snack prep area with refrigerator and sink (dishware and utensils not provided)

    Each room includes:

    • Linen and towels

    • A desk

    • Closet space

    • Full length mirror

    • Air conditioning

    • Voltage 110/120

    • Wireless internet

  • Laundry Room:

    • Located on the 8th floor

    • Laundry cards available from the Front Desk

    • Cost: wash $2.00/use & dry $1.50/use

    8th Floor Community Space:

    • Seating Area (lounge seating, study space, tables and chairs)

    • Community Kitchen Area: refrigerator, sink, microwave, two stoves (cooking equipment, dishware, and utensils not provided)

    Floor Lounges:

    • Shared floor lounges between every two floors connected by a stairway

    • Each lounge equipped with a TV and seating area

    Internet Access:

    • Wireless internet available in all guestrooms and common spaces

  • Building Access:

    • Exterior doors are locked at all times

    • Guests use residence key card or intercom to gain access to the building

    • Main floor of the residence including the Front Desk is located on the 8th floor of the building

    • Front Desk is staffed by Guest Service Agents 24 hours a day

    English Outdoors Residence Managers stay on-site throughout the program to provide extra safety.

  • The program includes 3 meals per day:

    • Breakfast: self-service buffet

    • Lunch: on class location. Pizza on Mondays & Fridays, light packed lunches on other days

    • Dinner: self-service buffet

    Breakfast and dinner are served on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus located just a few minutes’ walk away from the residence.

    Sample Menus:

    • Breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, cereal, yogurt, juices

    • Light Packed Lunches: sandwich, fruit, cookie, juice

    • Dinner: salad, meat or vegetarian entrée, pasta entrée, two sides (starch and vegetables), dessert squares, fruits, juices

  • Our Toronto summer camp includes a full program of evening activities, giving our students the opportunity to socialize with their new friends and discover Toronto by night too.

    These activities are supervised by the residence managers and include:

    • Outdoor activities such as the CN Tower at night and scavenger hunt

    • Indoor activities in the residence such as games night, karaoke, or movie night

  • Essential items to bring for the summer camp include:

    • Sun cream

    • Comfortable walking shoes

    • Light clothing suitable for summer

    • Jumpers for air-conditioned areas

    • Adaptors for electrical items

    • Pocket money

    • A photocopy of the passport

    • A notebook and pen

    • Headphones for lessons

    • Pre-subscribed data plan for mobile phones

Arrival and Departure

Your program starts on the Sunday before your course begins and ends on the Saturday after it concludes. There are 3 sessions with arrival dates and departure dates as follows:

  • Session 1: June 29th – July 12th

  • Session 2: July 13th – July 26th

  • Session 3: July 27th – August 9th

Residence Rules & Guidelines

Students are expected to adhere to the following guidelines during their stay:

  • Students should feel free to communicate any questions or needs to the EO Residence Managers.

  • Embrace cultural and personal differences among peers and practice tolerance.

  • Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces, including keeping rooms tidy and bathrooms clean.

  • Smoking and the use of alcohol are prohibited within the residence.

  • Students are not permitted to invite guests to the residence.

  • Each student is responsible for their personal belongings and any damage caused to the residence.
