English for School Groups and Mini Stays in NYC

Our English for School Groups program in New York offers groups from around the world the chance to experience the unique English Outdoors Discovery program. All our trips are tailor-made. And are suitable for groups of all sizes, ages, and language levels. Our groups generally come to New York for 5 to 14 days, but the length of time is completely optional! As is the time of year. Many of our groups choose to travel to New York during the quieter months of February, March, April, May, October and November, when prices are just a little bit cheaper!
The program includes language practice with NYC related topics and themes, a customizable activity and excursion schedule offering the best of New York, and full-board homestay accommodation.
Groups choose how many classes they want to take and what they want to focus on for their English program. Our academic team then designs a program that best fits their own needs. Once the group is booked in, we send an online level test to all the group to do before they arrive, and on arrival, they are then placed in class to suit their language level and placed in a WhatsApp group for their class. Our groups practice English in NYC in topic-driven language sessions that focus on speaking, improving fluency, and building confidence.
They also decide what activities they wish to include in the afternoons and evenings. They can choose from some of the best observatories including the super popular new Summit building, the No 1 World Trade Center, Top of the Rock, The Edge on Manhattan’s Westside or the iconic Empire State Building. Include We can’t forget the museums such as the world famous Metropolitan Museum of Art or The MOMA, the American Museum of Natural History or the deeply moving 911 museum. And of course, the famous New York landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. You can also include a Broadway Musical or a famous sports event such as the Brooklyn Nets or the New York Yankees baseball.

For accommodation, we offer your groups the opportunity to stay with our host families in Brooklyn, all of whom have been personally hand-picked by our team here in New York. Most groups choose to place 2 or 3 students per family. We have families located all over Brooklyn but many of our families are located in Ditmas Park, Bay Ridge and Flatbush. Staying with a host family gives your group the chance to fully experience the cultural immersion in an American family setting.
Many of our groups choose the full-board option provided by our host families which includes regular packed lunches, but your group can also choose to offer dinner out in the city to offer the best of New York. For example, a burger & fries at Shake Shack or a pizza slice at one of the many Pizza joints throughout the city.
