The city becomes the classroom!
The city becomes the classroom!
On arrival at JFK Airport in NYC, we pick you up on our camp bus and take you directly to our residence, located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, one of the most beautiful residential neighborhoods in all of New York City, with views of Brooklyn Bridge minutes away and just 1 subway stop from Manhattan. Here you will stay in doubles or triple rooms, all en-suite with tv, fridge, a/c and wifi, sharing with our International students. The residence includes 24-hour security, key card access, recreational lounges with a pool table and movie room, and vending machines. After a first night welcome, we visit the world famous Brooklyn Promenade to see evening views of the lights of Manhattan.
Our Teens and Young Adults have breakfast and evening dinner at a typical American diner, located a 2 minute walk from the residence. After breakfast each morning we take a subway together to our daily class location.
It’s a 2-week program with morning English classes all over the city, in lots of cool and authentic outdoor & indoor locations. After doing an online level test before they arrive, our teens and Young Adults are placed in a class to suit their language level and can then join a WhatsApp group for their class. All our classes are small with a maximum of 8 people per class so lots of opportunity to speak English & improve fluency. On 3 days per week, our Teens & Young Adults will also participate in our Discovery Days, when their classes are on the move for part of the morning as they explore famous sights & locations with their classes focused on themes such as Food, History, Arts, Architecture & Transportation.
After lunch, our teens and Young Adults get the chance to experience some amazing afternoon and evening activities showcasing the best of New York. Our students become totally immersed in the city. It’s truly a city center program, with both residences right in the center of the city. And it really is the best of both worlds. Studying & Sightseeing.
The English Outdoors program suits all Teens and Young Adults with the right personality: A shy 17 year old or a mature 14 year old. A 22 year old who still needs a bit more guidance and wants to be part of a group of their peers or an 18 year old who needs more independence in their final years of being a teen!
It also suits all young people who are looking for something different and are comfortable being on the move every day. The EO program is also good for Teens and Young Adults who are a bit more independent and autonomous, and who have a maturity and confidence.
